Greetings from West Wheaton (Your Neighbors to the South)
Hi there. Just came across your Aspen Hill portal/wiki. You’ve done a great job of covering the underbelly of your particular neck of the mid-county. I especially like your section on code violations and mini-McMansionization (http://www.aspenhillnet.net/shame/code/).
Your opinion piece on overcrowding is spot on as well. When was it written--early 2007?
We live just south of Aspen Hill, in a run-down section of west Wheaton. We’ve got a lot of the same issues as you Aspen Hillbillies do, only much worse. You know things are bad when foreclosures actually improve some things. (Less parking congestion, yeah!)
I notice on the new wiki that you also cover a lot of local history and lore; this is unique and hard to find elsewhere. Keep up the good work.

George H. Earle, Jr. Link to Aspen Hill?
I can not find any references online that link Mr. George H. Earle, Jr. to Aspen Hill. The Earle, George H Jr page on this site does not provide references as proof. Perhaps you might add some? Thanks! Londonjackbooks 09:20, 26 April 2010 (EDT)
I think you have covered that. Excellent job. By the way, the online references to the land deeds would be found at Maryland Land Records (Maryland State Archives). A registration is necessary but it is free, a service of the State of Maryland and the land-records offices of Montgomery and Prince George's County. Thardman 09:58, 26 April 2010 (EDT)
