On Tuesday, August 3, 2004, with a great deal of preparation, the Mid-County Neighborhood Initiative promoted a National Night Out Event, held at NorthGate Park in Aspen Hill Maryland.
A great many sponsors assisted us in a wide variety of ways. Please be sure to patronize the commercial sponsors who whose assistance was invaluable and essential!
We especially wish to thank the Maryland/National Capital Park and Planning Commission ("MNCPPC") and the MNCPPC Park Police for their assistance and sponsorship. In particular, we wish to thank Parks Maintenance for their exemplary efforts to clear out underbrush, increase visibility within the park, add picnic tables and generally make the park more attractive to the neighborhood. We also must commend them for their fine job of levelling and resurfacing the basketball court, and for the new playground equipment.
